YEREVAN (Armenpress)—Armenian Minister of Economy, Artsvik Minasyan, said that the process of individual assistance to families of martyred soldiers in Nagorno-Karabakh has been determined and the results will be summarized within 10 days after which the execution will begin.

“The program involves a great deal of work, and must include other governmental departments as well, such as the Defense Ministry, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and territorial divisions of social services in order to make programs justified; these are intended to be long-term and will bring stable income based on complete and full information,” Minasyan mentions.

The Minister was questioned whether Armenia’s economy today is ready for war. He said, “Yes, it’s ready.”

Regarding President Sarkisian’s recent announcement on taxation statistics of April, Minasyan said that the Azerbaijani aggression, which aimed at damaging the Armenian economy, completely failed.

“The President’s announcement is a fact. It is due to not only in honor of our entrepreneurs who did their duties, but that the tax system worked very effectively. Let’s not forget that April is the month to pay income pre-payment. So, due to a number of factors, we have this result, which must be regarded as a positive one,” Minasyan said.

“The Azerbaijani aggression failed. Economically I can say this with certainty.”

President Serzh Sarkisian announced on May 4 during a meeting the Public Council that the State Revenue Committee has been taxed around 100 billion AMD in April. “This is unprecedented in the history of our country,” the President said.
