Youth From Across Country to Compete in Decades old Tournament in San Diego

AYF_Olympic_Fly (Medium)GLENDALE–The 36th annual AYF Olympics, a long-standing tradition that brings together Armenian-American youth from across the country for a weekend of sports competition, will be held in San Diego during Thanksgiving weekend, from November 27 to 29.

The Olympic Games are being hosted by the Armenian Youth Federation’s Glendale “Roupen” Chapter and will take place at the picturesque seaside Paradise Point Resort and Spa located in the beautiful city of San Diego, CA (1404 W. Vacation Rd.).

Activities will begin Friday at 3:00P.M. and will conclude Sunday at 2:00P.M.

“The Olympics is a great way to spend your Thanksgiving weekend along with fellow Armenian-Americans from various parts of the US,” said David Arakelyan, the Roupen Chapter’s Chairman. “Glendale AYF members are very excited about this year’s Olympics and are doing everything to make this a memorable experience for everyone involved.”

Teams this year will compete in soccer, basketball, and volleyball in a quest to win first place in the prestigious competition.  In addition to the games, social events will also be held throughout the weekend, including a Friday night beach party and bonfire, as well as a Sunday night dinner dance at the resort with AYF Alumni.  Participants will also have an opportunity to explore various local sites and attractions.

To reserve your room today, call 858-274-4630 and mention the AYF Olympics in order to reserve your room (or a suite) at our special rate of $119/night.

As an additional bonus, we are offering a $100 value HYE PASS for $65 (after 11/2, $85), which will allow you to enjoy breakfast, dinner, and the Friday and Saturday night events at this discounted price.  Shuttle Service from the San Diego Airport to the hotel will be available.
