YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan) — State Administration Minister Gagik Shahbazian reported Thursday that Prime Minister Armen Sarkissian–who is under doctors’ supervision in London–is back to work. However–the date of his return to Yerevan is still unknown.
Shahbazian said that the Prime Minister receives all necessary documen’s and conducts business meetings every day. According to Shahbazian–Sarkissian is still negotiating with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on credit allocated for the construction of the Hrazdan hydroelectric power plant.
Sarkissian–who went to Britain on a working visit–underwent surgery on Feb. 12.
Shahbazian reported that the cabinet session chaired by Levon Ter-Petrosyan discussed current problems. He said that the Investment and Privatization Ministry has received a status of a governmental privatization authority and started to function. The ministry plans to employ 150 people.
