Armenian Exhibition to Open in Paris

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)An exhibit dedicated to Ani–Armenia’s ancient capital of Bagratids epoch– is scheduled to open at the famous gallery "Pale de Shayo" in Paris–France.

The exhibition opens on the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity as a state religion in Armenia and has been organized with the help of the French president.

The exposition will include models of city constructions–items found during excavations in Ani–exhibits from Armenia’s history museum–archival material and many other items.

There will also be water-color works of the well-known Armenian painter Arshak Fetvachyan devoted to Ani.

Director of the National Picture Gallery Shahen Khachatrian did not rule out that Turkey would also take part in the exhibition.
