Armenia Joins European Convention on Culture

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenia’s delegation–led by Foreign Minister Alexander Arzoumanian–attended an official ceremony of Armenia’s–Georgia’s and Azerbaijan’s joining the European Culture Convention held in Strasbourg.

After a message by the Secretary of the Council of Europe Daniel Tarschys–Ministers of the three Transcaucasian countries presented relevant documen’s–certifying that these countries have acceded the Convention.

During the visit–Arzoumanian met with Daniel Tarschys–Chairman of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe–Lenny Fisher–Acting Chairman of Foreign Ministers and Deputy Foreign Minister–Tarija Halonen.

Arzoumanian left France for Turkey to attend the ninth session of the BSEC Foreign Ministers–which opened in Istanbul on Wednesday.
