Karabakh Gran’s Amnesty

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Karabakh Acting President Leonard Petrossian granted amnesty to certain individuals in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the establishment of Karabakh’s Defense Army and the liberation of Shushi.

The National Assembly adopted a draft decision granting amnesty to those sentenced to three years imprisonment–invalids of war sentenced to five years imprisonment–pregnant women and women having underage children–as well as those who lost their relatives in the war or became the sole supporter of their family.

Amnesty was not granted to those who committed war crimes.
