Armenian Suspect Arrested in Jerusalem Bombing

ISTANBUL (Noyan Tapan)–Israeli authorities have arrested and brought to trial an Armenian who is charged with organizing a bomb blast near the Turkish Consulate in Jerusalem–the Istanbul-based Marmara newspaper is reporting.

Three people were arrested in connection with the bomb attack–two of which–both ethnic Arab–were later freed. The third suspect–an Armenian–has assumed responsibility for the attack.

Israeli authorities say the act had no relation to any organization.
