Armenian Spiritual Center to Be Built in Moscow

MOSCOW (Respublica Armenia)–An Armenian spiritual center named Holy Cross will be built in Moscow.

In December of 1996 the Mosinterstroy company announced a competition for the creation of a project for the center. Moscow administration allocated 1.6 hectares of land on Trifonovskaya street for construction of the center.

The competition was held on April 28. Nine projects were discussed. The commission chose the project by architect Jim Torosian–who will soon receive an order for its implementation. Based on the proposal of the head of Nor-Nakhichevan and Moscow diocese Tiran Kiureghian–monetary prizes will be issued to other participants of the competition.
