Rep. Rogan Meets With Armenian American Leaders

GLENDALE–The Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region hosted a private reception at its Glendale headquarters for Congressman James Rogan Wednesday. More than 50 community activists–including representatives of local ANC chapters–the Armenian Relief Society–Homenetmen–the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian Youth Federation–as well as business leaders had an opportunity to meet the Congressman and discuss issues affecting the Armenian-American community and Armenia.

While addressing the gathered–the Congressman–whose district includes Burbank–Glendale and Pasadena–conveyed his admiration for the grassroots work conducted by the ANC and other community-based organizations–such as the AYF–whose offices he had visited just minutes before–while members planned the upcoming weeks of the AYF Camp.

Representative Rogan–who has been identified as a rapidly rising political figure in Washington by the national media–also reiterated his strong support for Congressional initiative impacting Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
