Lebanese Premier to Visit Armenia in June

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri is expected to visit Armenia later this month to discuss the construction of the Lebanese embassy in Armenia–the Lebanese mission reports.

Lebanon’s Charge d’Affairs to Armenia–Saad Zakhia–says that during his meeting with Armenia’s Premier–Robert Kocharian–on May 29–Kocharian promised to provide territory for the construction of the embassy before Hariri’s arrival in Yerevan.

The Lebanese mission also reports that the two discussed the establishment of a Lebanon-Armenia Trading Chamber to become a bridge linking businessmen from the two countries.

In the near future–Zakhia is expected to meet with Parliament Speaker Babken Ararktsian and Yerevan Mayor Vano Siradeghian.
