Armenian Contestants Win Miss Transcaucasia

YEREVAN (Respublica Armenia)–Four Armenian contestants took home five titles at this year’s Miss Transcaucasia contest in Tbilisi.

Armenia was represented by only four contestants–while the other republics were represented by ten entries each. Nevertheless–Miss Armenia 1997–Angelina Babajanian–also added the title of Miss Transcaucasia to her growing number of beauty pageant accolades by winning the event.

Overall–the Armenian contestants took home five of the six titles. The following contestants placed first in each category: Gohar Haroutyunian became the new Miss Grace–Liana Burnazian the new Miss Charm and Miss Discotheque–and Liana Torossian was named the new Miss Attractive.

A contestant from Georgia won the Miss Smile title.
