YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A seminar on "Professional Ethics and Responsibilities of Journalists," initiated by the Yerevan Press Club with the assistance from the Friedrich Ebert Fund took place in Biurakan Monday.
Participants of the seminar discussed problems relating to legislation–ethics regulations for journalism in Armenia–copyright and establishment of trade unions. Those attending the seminar stressed the drawbacks of the law and paid special attention to the growing non-professionalism of the media in Armenia.
The seminar was attended by the coordinator of the Ebert Fund projects–Wulf Lapins–representative of the Department of Press and Information of the German Government–Dr. Gerdt Pflaumer and Head of IG Medien trade union–Iness Kun.
