Discussion on Military Draft Law Postponed

YEREVAN (Azg)–Levon Ter-Petrosyan tried to eliminate the political crisis caused by the resignation of the Chairman of the National Assembly Babken Ararktsian by meeting with Ararktsian–Prime Minister Robert Kocharian and Defense Minister Vazgen Sargsian.

An agreement was reached postponing the government discussion on the Law About Military Duty until this fall. The law was scheduled to become valid in September 1998.

A press conference concerning the conclusions on the 5th session of the National Assembly is scheduled to be held in the near future.
