Kocharian to Push for Early Elections Urges National Accord Alliance

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The National Accord Alliance has distributed a statement suggesting that Karabakh should be proclaimed the stronghold of the Armenian national defense.

"Armenia’s have suffered a heavy diplomatic defeat because of inexcusable errors the ruling regime committed in the field of foreign policy.

Our country is alone in opposing the coordinated anti-Armenian policies pursued by the great powers.

The continuously increasing pressure poses a serious danger to the independent Karabakh which is the guarantor of the Armenian statehood. Therefore–Armenia’s who showed unity in 1988 and liberated Karabakh should stand up to defend Karabakh now as well," the statement says.

The authors of the document believe that Armenian authorities–mistrusted by most of the population–are unable to unite Armenia’s all over the world. "To put up with the non-prestigious authorities is like committing a suicide for a belligerent nation," the statement runs.

By threatening to resign–Robert Kocharian–has offered to push for early presidential and parliamentary elections–or show the way to the nation to defend its achievemen’s and Karabakh’s freedom–statehood and independence.

No other details were available on the statement or its submission.
