Armenia to Export Smoked Fish

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Under the agreemen’s reached with a number of companies in Russia and other CIS countries–the Armenian Haydzukartspar fishing company plans to export its product to those countries

The company which specializes in smoked and pickled sig will begin exporting as early as this year.

According to company director Zhudolf Oghanesian–due to the enlargement of sales markets it is planned to increase the volume of output about 2.5 times this year as compared to 1996–bringing it up to 80 tons.

During the last four years the production of the integrated plant was marketed mostly in Armenia. Currently Haydzukartspar has about 80 agreemen’s with state-owned and private shops in Yerevan–the Talin and the Ararat regions.
