YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenian Ambassador to the US Ruben Shugarian stated that US-Armenian relations have entered a second stage–Wednesday.
He commented that following the end of the humanitarian mission–US aid will focus on the advancement of technology.
Shugarian stressed the significance of the science and technology agreement signed earlier this year between the US and Armenia–as well as the recent agreement with the US Export-Import Bank. Additionally–the Ambassador referred to the US-Armenian Business Council established earlier this year.
The Council consists of representatives from Los Angeles–Boston–Washington and New York.
The Council was encouraged by former US Senator and presidential candidate Robert Dole–Former US Secretaries of State James Baker and Zbigniew Bryzhinski.
In this regard–the Ambassador commended the efforts of the Armenian-American lobby–specifically recognizing the Armenian National Committee of American and the Armenian National Assembly.
