Turkish Report on San Francisco Monument Sale Corrected

LOS ANGELES–In the Monday edition of Asbarez On Line–a news item–received from Turkish sources in Turkey–erroneously reported on the events surrounding the sale of the Mt. Davidson Cross in San Francisco to the Armenian-American Council of Northern California.

Based on information received from the Council–the report falsely characterized individuals and the events–as has been the case with Turkish mass media sources previously.

Particularly Spervisor Michel Yaki who had been characterized as raising questions on the legitimacy of the Genocide in the report–indeed came out in strong support of the proposition and spoke in favor of the sale and against revisionism of history.
