Yeltsin to Expedite Probe Into Weaponry Supply Allegations

BAKU (Azg/Turan)–Russian President Boris Yeltsin sent a message to his Azeri counterpart Gaidar Aliyev–referring to the necessity of creating a tri-lateral Russian-Armenian-Azeri commission for investigation of the illegal supply of Russian weaponry. Russian Ambassador in Azerbaijan Blokhin passed the message to Aliyev over the weekend. He said that the Azeri and Russian members of the commission have already been selected. "We now wait for the response of Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his list of representatives will soon be published". Responding to a quote from Armenpress–governmental press services said that no message had been received–but affirmed that Ter-Petrosyan had agreed to the creation of the commission.
