Armenian Cultural Monumen’s to be Restored in Iran

YEREVAN (Respublica Armenii)–The Department for Restoration of Architectural Monumen’s of the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Culture–Architectural Council of the Armenian Church of Teheran and the Organization for Protection of Armenian Cultural Heritage in Iran reached a preliminary agreement to develop a program for the restoration of Armenian cultural monumen’s in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

More than 30 Armenian churches exist in the cities of Teheran–Tabris–Isfahan–and in the neighboring regions. They are all protected by the state. Churches St.Thadeus–Tsortsor–St.Stepanos have been restored–based on the initiative and financing of Iranian authorities.
