UAF Aid to Armenia Reaches $200 Million

GLENDALE–The United Armenian Fund’s 95th airlift arrived in Armenia on Sept. 28–with $6.8 million of supplies–bringing the total amount of humanitarian aid provided by the UAF during the past eight years to $200 million.

The UAF itself collected for the 95th airlift almost $6 million worth of medicines and medical supplies to be distributed to hospitals throughout Armenia by the Health Ministry.

Other organizations which contributed supplies for this airlift were: United Methodist Committee on Relief ($364,000)–Armenian General Benevolent Union ($82,000)–Liquipharm–Inc. ($72,000)–United States Department of Energy ($66,000)–Armenian Missionary Association of America ($38,000)–Children’s Cardiac Center of Armenia ($37,000)–American University of Armenia ($37,000) and US Nuclear Regulatory Commission ($37,000).

Also contributing supplies for this airlift were: Alice Navasargian of California ($25,000)–Bay Area Friends of Armenia ($24,000)–American Red Cross ($23,000)–Tekeyan Cultural Association ($21,000)–Tatoul Manasserian of California ($17,000)–and Fund for Armenian Relief ($10,000).
