ArmenTel Worth Estimated at $100 Million

YEREVAN (Finansner yev Banker)–Considering that the ArmenTel communications company owns 250,000 telephone lines in Armenia–evaluated cost of 51 percent of its stock–without discussion of the exclusive rights for 15 years–would be about $95-100 million.

The minimum cost could be evaluated at $55-60 million–maximum at $155-160 million. Considering that–from one hand– exclusive rights would lead to 25-30 percent increase of the stock cost but– on the other–complex geopolitical situation would play for its decrease–the final market value would probably be settled at this rate.

Therefore–market value of the 51 percent of ArmenTel’s stock would make $110-140 million in average– and may not exceed $190-200 million–which proves that the figure of $500 million mentioned in the press–is highly exaggerated.
