ARF Representatives Meet with US Karabakh Officials

YEREVAN (Hayots Ashkhar)–Armenian Revolutionary Federation Executive Council members Vartan Petrossian and Roland Sharoyan met Friday with the United States Embassy’s Secretary David Fran’s at the latter’s request.

During the meeting the two sides discussed various issues facing Armenia–including the legal registration of the ARF–as well as the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.

Also on Friday–Executive Council representatives met with officials of the Nagorno-Karabakh government in Yerevan.

Participating in the meeting were Karabakh Prime Minister Leonard Petrossian and Foreign Minister Naira Melkoumian–in addition to ARF Bueau member Massis Baghdassarian and Executive Council members Ardashes Shahbazian and Hrair Karapetian.

The Karabakh officials discussed the various elemen’s of the upcoming Copenhagen OSCE summit–as well as approaches to the resolution of the conflict.

In their turn–the ARF representatives conveyed their concerns with the recent developmen’s in the peace process–and offered the party’s take on the continuation of the conflict resolution.
