Honorable Mr. Robert Kocharian, Newly Elected President of the Republic of Armenia
From the Catholicosate of Holy See of Cilicia–in Antelias–we wish to welcome your election as President of the Republic of Armenia–and on this happy occasion congratulate you.
You take over as president of Armenia at a time when our people are experiencing serious hardship. Indeed–the fair and just resolution of the conflict in Karabakh–the betterment of our people’s economic status–reorganization of Armenia’s internal political infrastructure–the creation of healthy and structured collaboration between Armenia and the Diaspora–the strengthening of internal unity–and numerous other crucial issues will surely take their place in your mission.
Therefore–taking on a leadership role at this difficult juncture is tenacious. With this deep conviction and knowledge–you will take your oath of office to serve with complete dedication the interests of our nation and our homeland.
We assure you–Mr. President–that the Catholicosate of the Holy See of Cilicia–with its prelacies–executive bodies and parishioners is with you and in unconditional support of your state-and nation-building efforts.
We pray that God will bless you with health–wisdom and strength–so that you are productive in carrying out the responsibilities with which out nation has entrusted you.
