Rybkin Kocharian Agree on Further Economic Cooperation

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–A government delegation from the Russian Federation–headed by Acting Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Rybkin–arrived in Yerevan on Wednesday. The Office of the Prime Minister reported that following the presidential inauguration on Thursday–Armenian-Russian intergovernmental negotiations were held at the Armenian government building. A Kocharian meeting with the Russian delegations ensued.

Greeting the guests–President Kocharian praised the current level of development of Armenian-Russian relations–simultaneously stressing the necessity for enhanced bilateral economic cooperation.. According to Kocharian–the two states are ready to overcome all obstacles and willing to finding of the most efficient method of economic development through mutually beneficial cooperation.

Rybkin pointed out that it had been an honor for the delegation to participate in the inaugural ceremony. He reported that a number of drafts regarding mutually profitable cooperation development are already in process. As well–new working programs are being worked out.

All those in attendance expressed their confidence in the agreemen’s achieved to strengthen the traditional friendly relations between the two countries.

Following the meeting–President Kocharian and Acting Deputy Prime Minister Rybkin held a private conversation.
