Negotiations on Armenia’s Admission to WTO to Resume

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenia is to be admitted to the World Trade Organization–Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Armen Petrossian told a news conference Saturday.

According to him–a final meeting of the fifth working group to sum up the results of the bilateral negotiations on Armenia’s joining the WTO was to have taken place in early June to finally announce Armenia’s membership to this organization. The negotiations have been postponed mostly because of the changes in Armenia’s political sphere.

Currently–there are no factors impeding the negotiating process and it is expected to resume in mid-June," said Petrossian.
