Armenian Firm Sets Up Production of Free Heat Energy Devices

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Armenian "Tekhnostandart VV" Ltd. worked out heliotechnical devices which make it possible to transform the solar energy into heat energy. Five sets of the heliotechnical devices have been assembled–and starting in September–100 sets a month will be assembled. In the future no less than 100 sets a year are to be assembled. The cost of each device is about $500.

"Tekhnostandart VV" set up the production of devices of different capacities: from heliomeccanos for children (100 wt) to powerful heliosystems (30 kwt). It is also planned to set up the production of heliotechnical devices with heat generators for obtaining electric energy. About 30 cooperating enterprises of electronic and machine building industries of Russia and Armenia are involved in the production.

The production of heliotechnics is the latest industrial trend–and the world market of the helio products is still empty–the director of "Tekhnostandart VV" Vahan Amazaspian said. If the production is well-organized–this market can be won he added. Various firms have already placed orders for the purchase of a considerable number of sets. There are plans to export the products to India–Australia–African countries–Kasakhstan–Uzbekistan. According to Amazaspian–there is enough potential in Armenia–by combining efforts–to produce several million sets a year.

The "Tekhnostandart VV" Ltd. signed an agreement recently with the "Krasny Oktiabr" chemical engineering plant in Fastov–Ukraine. According to the agreement–the plant will provide the Armenian firm with complementary parts.

The "Krasny Oktiabr" plant–which was founded in 1876–is the only one in the CIS countries producing enameled equipment. The plant sells its products in the CIS countries as well as in France–Finland and other countries of the world.

The monthly volume of production makes up 1.5-2 million dollars. Up to 1988 the plant supplied with its products about 30 Armenian enterprises. The sales manager of the "Krasny Oktiabr" plant–Igor Maniakovsky said that the same products of Western make are 10 times as expensive.
