Georgian Speaker Assures Harutiunian of Stability

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Khosrov Harutiunian had a telephone conversation with his Georgian counterpart Zurab Zhvania on July 28 during which he asked the latter to brief him on the situation in Georgia after the resignation of some members of the government.

According to the speaker of the Georgian parliament–the situation in the country is becoming stabilized–and the formation of a new government has begun.

At the request of Zhvania–Harutiunian briefed the latter on the results of the seventh session of the Armenian National Assembly and the immediate programs of the parliament. Issues related to interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries were also discussed.
