MONTEBELLO–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Western Region held its 36th Convention over the weekend at the Montebello Armenian Center–with 50 delegates representing 15 chapters participating. Some 20 ARF members were also present in advisory capacity.
Also attending the meeting were representatives of the Central Committees of Eastern US and Canada–as well as the representative of the ARF Bureau.
The convention primarily focused on and discussed issues concerning the organization–difficulties encountered in addressing the needs of the community–future strategy and policy on assisting Armenia and Karabakh and the pursuit of the Armenian Cause–Hai Tahd.
In conclusion–the convention elected a nine-member Central Committee which will govern the Western US region for the upcoming two years. The new CC is comprised of Arsen Danielian–Mardig Gaboudian–Avedis Isependjian–Bedig Kazandjian–Ara Khanjian–John Kossakian–Hovig Saliba–Viken Yacoubian and Viken Yepremian.
