Front Line Between Karabakh and Azerbaijan Monitored

STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)– The OSCE acting chairman conducted a monitoring of the front line between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan on Tuesday.

From the Karabakh side–the area was monitored by the personal representative of the OSCE acting chairman–envoy Andrey Kasprzic and field aide Miroslav Vimetal. The Azeri side was monitored by representatives from the Tbilisi-based office of the OSCE–acting chairman Antal Herdich and field aide Vasil Ivashko. The group that conducted the monitoring from Karabakh’s side was accompanied by officials from Karabakh’s Defense Ministry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On August 19–envoy Kasprzic met with Karabakh’s President Arkady Ghoukassian to discuss the results of the monitoring.
