Explosion Rocks Javakhk Leader’s House

TIBLISI (Noyan Tapan)– Unknown assailants blew up the home of Department of Gas chairman–Carlo Raisyan–in Akhalkalak Friday.

The first floor of Raisyan’s home was damaged–however no casualties were reported.

Law enforcement agencies were investigating the methods used for the crime along with the people responsible for the act. A possibility was addressed that the crime was one of hatred against one of the family members. Raisyan has two children–one is Akhalkalak’s prosecutor–the other is a member of the Georgian Parliament.

Although there is no official statement of the crime–political motives were not being ruled out.

The region’s governor–Gigla Paramidzen rushed to the scene of the crime and is following the investigation very closely. Sources say that the crime did not cause any agitation in the region.
