YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Exhibition of 45 Bulgarian companies will be held in Armenia this May within the framework of the Chamber of Industry and Trade of Armenia. Currently–CITA is negotiating the organization of the exhibition of Italian goods in Armenia.
Chairman of CITA Samvel Shahbazian said that the organization is planning to implement a number of programs in 1999 which will allow Armenian businessmen to find partners abroad and launch mutually beneficial cooperation. Armenian businessmen have already held talks with ambassadors and attaches for economic issues of embassies of Austria–Israel–Zambia–Cuba–Ukraine and Iran–as well as with representatives of the Japanese Eximbank.
Armenian and Austrian representatives agreed to open Austrian economic mission in Yerevan in the first half of 1999. To this end a delegation composed of representatives of 15-35 companies will arrive in Yerevan to meet with Armenian businessmen and scientists. He also said that Israel and the Japanese Eximbank are interested in utilizing the Armenian scientific potential–its funding and prospects of joint developmen’s.
