Number of Armenicum Patients Doubles

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Nikolay Kolesnikov–a Russian receiving test clinical treatment for AIDS in Armenia–feels much better–Lev Zohrabian–director of the Republican Center for AIDS Control & Prevention–said in a Noyan Tapan interview.

The effect of the treatment is determined according to the internationally accepted key parameters indicating HIV concentration in blood. Among such parameters is–for example–the amount of T-lymphocytes in blood (CD-4+ cells) reflecting the virus content in blood in inversely proportional dependence. One of the laboratories involved in tests on the drug has a sophisticated technology to obtain such an indication. The given indication with Kolesnikov has increased almost three-fold by now.

The state of all 30 patients receiving Armenicum is estimated according to similar parameters. All of those participating in the tests are citizens of Armenia–except Kolesnikov.

"It can be said with certainty that Armenicum drastically improves the quality of life of people suffering from AIDS. The thing is that the widely accepted treatment for AIDS by the standard method of triple therapy means that a patient has to regularly take medicine all through his life. Such preparations used for treatment are highly toxic and cause addiction–which is not the case with Armenicum and this is confirmed by relevant protocols," Zohrabian said.

Besides–Zohrabian went on to explain–the patient is not "confined to the drug" forever; after taking a course of treatment he is free in his action and feels well for a certain period of time. The next stage of clinical tests will show how long this period is and whether remission is possible.

Per factual data–no virus is identified in the blood of most patients who received a course of treatment for AIDS with the aid of Armenicum.
