Communiqu On Genocide Commemoration

The 84th anniversary of the still-unpunished Armenian Genocide will be commemorated by people across the world at memorial monumen’s and public centers. They will bow their heads to the memory of the victims and renew their vow to the eternal Armenian Cause.

The wall of the denial of the Armenian Genocide must be torn down–and the recognition of the Genocide by the Turkish government and its proper compensation must be demanded–so that the souls of the 1.5 million martyrs rest in peace and that similar events are not repeated in the world.

Today–with a well-established Armenian Republic–a de-facto independent Karabakh–and a blossoming world-wide Diaspora–the Armenian people have not had a better opportunity to pursue the Armenian Cause and demand their rights: the recognition of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the government of Turkey in 1915-1923; the compensation of humanitary–cultural–material and other losses the Armenia’s were subjected to due to the Genocide; the return of lands belonging to their rightful owners–the Armenia’s.

The 84th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide provides an opportunity for individuals to renew their duty of working for the strengthening and betterment of Armenia and Karabakh.

In memory of the martyred.
