Greek Armenian Community Allocates $300 000 for Schools in Lori

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–In 2001 there will no longer be any schools in the Lori region that are housed in tents–Deputy Head of the Lori regional administration David Lokian told Noyan Tapan. He reported that 24 schools were restored and put into operation in the last year. All the restoration works were possible due to the funds allocated both from the budget and by different charity organizations. Lokian reported that the Armenian community in Greece allocated almost $300,000 for the construction of schools in the region.
