YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)– "In 1993–in the zenith of his destructive campaign and with the full patronage of the then ruling party and several senior officials–Ashot Bleyan–stretching his authority–took a complex of buildings with conveniences away from our school and–for mercenary ends–transferred them to an invented organization called `Pre-conscription Camp,’" Gasparian–Headmaster of Boarding School N 15 based in Armavir–said in a letter addressed to Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepian on behalf of the teaching staff.
Gasparian said "the camp did nothing but embezzle state funds and cripple youths–while over 90 alumni and 70 teachers of the boarding school were left in the street." The teachers rely on the Prosecutor’s Office to deal with the case and are certain that Bleyan won’t go unpunished.
We would remind you that Ashot Bleyan–who leads the New Path party–is now under arrest–charged with abusing power and embezzling public property.
