50 to Attend Diaspora Seminar from Russia

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Officials in the Armenian community Russian announced that 50 leaders and members would attend the Armenia-Diaspora conference scheduled for September in Armenia.

The Russian-Armenian community became the first to announce the number of its participants in the much-anticipated upcoming conference.

Armenian foreign minister Vartan Oskanian arrive in Moscow Friday to attend the first Assembly of the Armenia’s of Moscow Saturday–which was held as part of preparations for Armenia-Diaspora conference.

Another commission in charge of preparations for the Armenia-Diaspora forum arrived in Argentina on July 30 to hold meetings with the Armenian communities of Latin America. The delegation was led by Constitutional Court Chairman Gagik Haroutiunian.

Haroutiunian will also meet with President of Argentina Carlos Saul Menem–Acting Head of the Government of Buenos Aires Enrique Oliveira and Chairman of the State Mint Armendo Kostanian. The meetings will discuss the bilateral relations between Armenia and Argentina.

Haroutiunian was accompanied by Executive Director of the "Hayastan" Fund Vahan Ter-Ghevondian and Armenia’s Ambassador to Argentina Ara Aivazian.
