Restoration of Yerevan Hotel to Be Completed This Year

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The restoration of the Yerevan hotel–which was privatized through an agreement last year with the Italian "Renco Construction" firm–is to be completed at the end of this year. $7-8 million is to be allocated by the firm for the work–Director of the "Yerevan" hotel Angelo D’Auria told Noyan Tapan. The different ministries and departmen’s of Armenia are help the Italian firm to restore the hotel. After the restoration process one wing of the building is to include 100-110 rooms. The hotel is being reinforced while a new building–which is currently under construction–will be connected with the old one. D’Auria said that after the restoration the "Yerevan" will be a four-star hotel.

According to Angelo D’Auria–the project created 160-165 jobs. The workers receive over $100. After the construction is completed–the hotel will employ 60 persons.
