Festival Highlights ARF Youth Jamboree Finale

STEPANAKERT–More that 4,000 Karabakh residents Sunday joined the hundreds of participants of the 6th Armenian Revolutionary Federation Youth Jamboree in the city square for a festival marking the end of a successful gathering of youth from around the world.

The festival which was themed "Toward a United Armenia via Artsakh" was dedicated to the memory all fighters who gave their lives during the Karabakh liberation struggle.

Nagorno-Karabakh Republic president Arkady Ghoukassian and prime minister Anoushavan Danielian took part in the festival. In his remarks–Ghoukassian urged the Armenian youth to have a more active role in the lives of Armenia’s living in Karabakh.

The jamboree director Davit Ishkhanian explained the meaning and significance of the festival and cited the rich history and activities of ARF youth throughout the world.

ARF Bureau member Apo Boghigian stressed the importance of actively participating in the lives of Karabakh residents and stressed that in order to find tangible solutions for national concerns–it is imperative to live among local residents.

The festival committee presented a skit–following which the jamboree participants and the residents of Stepanakert joined in singing of national and patriotic songs.

Several days before the end of the jamboree–a delegation from the jamboree administration visited the families of fallen heroes and conveyed a message of solidarity on behalf of participants.

The jamboree participants left the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Monday and headed for Zangezour-Ghapan-Jermouk. They were scheduled to arrive in Yerevan Tuesday.
