YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Romanian Ambassador Pavel Platona met with Head of the Foreign Relations Committee at the Armenian Parliament Armen Khachatrian and said that economic cooperation between Armenia and Romania will be mutually beneficial.
Khachatrian called it essential to strengthen the traditionally friendly ties between Armenia and Romania and stressed the role of the Armenian community of Romania in the political–economic and cultural life of the country.
The latest meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan was said to facilitate a peaceful and fair solution to the Karabakh problem and promote the establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus–which will clear the way to economic cooperation between the countries of the region.
