British Airways Taxes to Help Orphanages

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–British Airways has declared September to be a month of special tariffs in favor of the Gavar orphanage. During the month $10 from each Economy Class ticket and $50 from each Club World ticket sold will be granted to the orphanage. On the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of its activities in Armenia British Airways also initiated other charity programs–the company’s manager in Armenia–Georgia and Turkmen’stan Dougie Douglas said at a press conference on Wednesday.

British Airways is giving discounts on a number of flights this month with a view of attracting passengers. In particular–a return ticket to London in September will be sold for $450–instead of 525 dollars–and a return ticket to the United States will be sold for $700–instead of $900.

Former manager of Armenian Airlines Armen Ter-Tachatian said that as a result of the discounts British Airways will both attract more customers and earn additional profits.
