GLENDALE–Well known benefactors Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Tina Carolan announced a donation of $60,000 toward the establishment and creation of 13 delivery/birthing stations in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
The birthing/delivery station program will be monitored by the Armenian National Committee Artsakh Fund.
"Tina and I are grateful to be able to help the people of Karabakh," said Richard Carolan.
Last month–Mr. and Mrs. Carolan were joined by their son Richard in rededicating the Armenian Cultural Foundation Center on 104 North Belmont Street–Glendale in memory of Tina Carolan’s parents Lussik and Kerope Peschekerian.
The rededication ceremony–which took place on the newly remodeled third floor of the center–was a result of a generous contribution of $500,000 by Richard and Tina Carolan to the ACF.
"Mr. & Mrs. Carolans have given their support continuously and–above all–courageously–even at dark junctures in our recent history when our organization had become the target of an unjust and divisive campaign," said Armenian Revolutionary Federation Western US Central Committee member Viken Yacoubian during the rededication ceremony.
