YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Georgian President Edward Shevardnadze will arrive on a two-day official visit to Armenia on September 29. The delegation will include Foreign Minister Irakliy Menagharishvili–Minister of Fuel and Energy Teimuraz Georgadze–Minister of Transport Meghrab Adeashvili–member of parliament Givi Shugarov–Governors of the Akhaltsikh and Ninotsmind provinces–outstanding cultural workers and teachers.
Shevardnadze is scheduled to hold a tete-a-tete meeting with his Armenian counterpart. Delegation members will meet with their Armenian colleagues.
Shevardnadze is to be declared honorary citizen of Yerevan. The Georgian president is also due to meet with National Assembly Chairman Karen Demirchian.
The Georgian delegation will visit the Ancient Manuscripts Museum Matenadaran and the Genocide Museum. President Shevardnadze will lay a wreath at the monument to genocide victims.
