New Karabakh Envoys Appointed

STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–On September 29–Nagorno Karabakh Republic Foreign Minister Naira Melkoumian received Australian businessman Varuzhan Iskanterian–who has been named by Karabakh President Arkady Ghoukassian as a candidate for Karabakh’s Permanent Representative to Australia–the Karabakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The two discussed issues connected with the launching of Karabakh’s permanent mission and prospects of cooperation between Karabakh and the Armenian community of Australia in various spheres.

The same day Melkoumian received the founder of the International Academy of Armenian Black Belts Association–Karapet Kebabjian–who had been named as Karabakh’s Permanent Representative to the Middle East countries with residence in Beirut. Kebabjian’s candidacy is still to be approved by Karabakh President Arkady Ghoukassian.
