Emil Gabrielian Wins Science Prize

PARIS (Panafrican News Agency)–Emil Gabrielian of Armenia was awarded the Kalinga Prize for the Popularization of Science along with Ghanaian scientist–Mrian Ewurrama Addy at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris Monday evening.

The two were recognized for their contribution to the popularization of science–technology and research.

Each of them received 500 pounds sterling and the Albert Einstein Medal.

Apart from Addy and Gabrielian–UNESCO Director-General Federico Mayor also awarded prizes and medals to six other individuals and institutions for excellence in the promotion and popularization of science at the brief ceremony.
