2000 Draft Budget to Be Submitted to Parliament This Week

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–According to the Constitution–the draft budget must be submitted to the National Assembly no later than 60 days before the start of a new fiscal year. On November 1 the government submitted a preliminary draft budget to the National Assembly. But–according to Head of the Public Relations Department of the Government of Armenia Tigran Hakobian–an agreement was reached during Vazgen Sargsyan’s times to send the draft budget to a revision for a week before discussing it in Parliament. Hakobian reported that the draft budget will be submitted to the Parliament at the end of the week.
