Community Meeting on Parks Set for Saturday

GLENDALE–A Blue Ribbon Panel comprised of a group of citizens representing business–property owners–civic organizations–with advisory members from the Parks–Recreation and Community Services Department and Commission–as well as the Public Library–was appointed by the City Council to address the issue of parks–recreation facilities and open space in our community.

The panel is mandated to report its recommendations to the City Council in February 2000 regarding the direction that the city should take in regards to parks–recreation facilities and open space.

The panel is inviting residents and interested parties–to discuss these important issues and express their ideas and suggested approaches for improving and expanding parks–recreation facilities and open space.

The public meeting will be held on Saturday–January 15–2000 at 10:00 am–at City Council Chambers located at 613 E. Broadway.
