Court Finishes Publicizing Evidence in Ter Sahakian Case

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On January 20 the court of original jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Avan and Nor-Nork boroughs finished publicizing the evidence given by witnesses in the Armen Ter-Sahakian case during the preliminary investigation. According to the court decision–there are reasons for these witnesses not appearing before the court. At the defense’s request the court did not publicized the evidence given by two witnesses now deceased–as–according to the defense–this evidence does not play a considerable role in the legal proceedings.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case until Feb. 1. During this period the court is to take measures to transfer the defendants in the cases separated from the main case into special proceedings from the reformatory to the remand prison. These defendants are witnesses in the Armen Ter-Sahakian case and are to testify in court.
