Indian Embassy Gran’s 30 Books to Foreign Ministry Library

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Embassy of India in Armenia granted the library of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs 30 books on Indian politics and diplomacy. At the ceremony–Indian Ambassador to Armenia Bal Anand said that the library has been replenished with helpful special literature. Anand also said that this will not be the last present.

The library of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs–which was established in May 1999 on the donations of Armenian American businessman Aso Davidian–has at its disposal almost 500 periodicals and 3,000 books on politics–diplomacy–history–and international trade.

The Indian ambassador also presented Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Baiburdian with two other books: 50 Years of Indian Foreign Policy and India’s Defense.

Pointing out that Armenia and India are old friends–Baiburdian added that Armenian-Indian relations now tend to expand. A program of developing bilateral economic and trade relations is now under development.
