Armenia Beats Moldova in Cyprus

NICOSIA (Reuters)–The Armenian national soccer team beat Moldova 2-1–in overtime–during an eight-country soccer championship tournament organized by Cyprus.

Taking part in the championships games are Armenia–Romania–Moldova–Georgia–Slovakia–Lithuania–Latvia and Cyprus.

The win for Armenia–placed the team in the semi-finals. Rafael Ghazarian and Garnik Tovmassian made the winning goals from the Armenia team.

The semi-final games are scheduled for Friday–at which time Armenia will play against Cyprus.
