Azeri Hackers Send Anti Armenian Slurs

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The official Internet page of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic was given a hostile reception in Azerbaijan. Insults–threats–swear-words addressed to the Artsakh people have been received since the early days of the page. The morbid reaction to the true information about Nagorno Karabakh–violation of elementary standards of communication by the Azeri site visitors–their bitterness are the best reflection of the atmosphere of intolerance–hostility and bias against Karabakh which exists in Azerbaijan.

According to the "Arminco" telecom agency–the Azeri computer hackers make efforts to break the Karabakh Foreign Ministry server and eliminate the official Karabakh from the Internet–which they have done with a number of Armenian sites–among them the sites of the Armenian Assembly of America and the National Television of Armenia. But the persistent efforts of the computer hackers are successfully suppressed.

Such an attitude to the Karabakh site is–unfortunately–the result of Baku’s policy conducted during the last decades and directed at the systematic destruction of the historical and cultural monumen’s of Karabakh–aimed at eliminating any evidence of the region’s belonging to its original masters.

The Karabakh Foreign Ministry Press Service considers the actions of the Azeri computer hackers as a direct and rude violation of people’s right to information.

The creation of a legal basis on the CIS territory–envisaging an immediate imposition of strict sanctions on the hackers–would make it possible to stop the criminal actions of the Azeri computer breakers aimed at preventing the world community from getting a true idea about the Nagorno Karabakh problem and Karabakh as a whole.
